Sync Errors

This help article will go over some common sync errors and how you can fix them.

There is any easy way to tell if your sync is up to date and running. The syncs refresh every night and therefore the "last synced" time should always be up to date (if there is no sync date the sync either isnt working or it is a manual upload job). If it is an old date/time there is a possibility that the sync is not working correctly.

Sometimes the sync will have broken, this can be for various reasons, and you will see an error message like this;

Sometimes you may not be able to read the message and it will advise you to get in touch with an admin user. If this is the case please get in touch with the Silverfin experts and they will be able to send you the error message.

Refresh the sync vs Reset the sync

  • In the first instance you can try refreshing the sync using the top refresh icon

  • If your sync still isn't working you should try a full reset. To do this go to Edit Client, Sync and Switch Sync. You will then have 3 options, it is really important that you select the correct one or you could end up affecting previous data.

Please read the detail below each option to help decide which is correct.

You need to be very careful if a DSUD (do not sync until date) has been used. See below help article on DSUD's for guidance on this.
